When cultivating a beneficial atmosphere for wellness and wellbeing, sound can go a long way to making or breaking that experience. It’s a fact Angel Wellness Hotel, an Austrian establishment known for rest, relaxation and rejuvenation, knows all too well, which is likely the reason as to why they recently selected Bose Professional audio products and technology to compliment the hotel’s recent renovation.
“Audio plays a central part in a hotel’s atmosphere,” shared Christoph Rogl, managing director of Rogllivtec GmbH & Co KG, an Austrian integration firm who worked on delivering the system. “By using Bose Professional technology, we provided an intuitive interface to manage a flexible audio system across a variety of distinct locations — and ultimately created a harmonious integration of technology and experience.”
The varied spaces throughout Angel Wellness Hotel each required their own unique audio solutions to enable the perfect soundscapes for guest relaxation.
Bose Creates a Flexible Interface to Deliver Engrossing Soundscapes
Given the nature of the experiences Angel cultivates for its guests, the associated audio solution needed to be flexible, providing audio quality that would allow it to seamlessly meld into the unique environments throughout the hotel.
Rogllivtec GmbH & Co KG partnered with Bose Professional to design the full-range, bespoke solution that includes a variety of FreeSpace loudspeakers, MB210-WR outdoor subwoofer and PowerShare adaptable power amplifiers, all leveraging Dante and managed using ControlSpace CC-64 control centers. The new audio solution was created to align amenities to each aspect of their guests’ needs and provide a sophisticated user interface without sacrificing features and accessibility.
The hotel uses stored soundscapes, which are accessed and controlled throughout the hotel’s spaces via the ControlSpace Remote app so employees could effortlessly control the system at the push of a button. In the wellness and spa areas, for instance, sound effects like the rhythm of a heartbeat are integrated into the environmental acoustics. In other wellness spaces, dynamic fish projections have accompanying sound effects to immerse guests in an all-encompassing, relaxing environment.
“Our philosophy is the perfection of the last 5%, which the guest perceives only subconsciously. Therefore we’re not concerned with ‘background music’ but with a holistic spatial experience. This can only be realized with absolute quality, and with Bose Professional it was accomplished,” stated Gert Zimmermann, member of the Mattersberger-Zimmerman family of owners.
