New Leaf™ Performance Veneers, a Wilsonart company, is making it easier to achieve the authentic look and feel of natural wood with their new matte grain finish, available on 20 of their veneers. The finish revels in the organic beauty of wood’s unique characteristics, adding a wood grain look that adds a natural glow and warmth with open pore texturing to provide a tactile experience while remaining true to a traditional veneer visual.
New Leaf Performance Veneers come with an energy-cured performance coating, offering four times the fade, scratch and wear resistance; eight times the dent resistance; and fourteen times the impact resistance. Engineered as an exact replica of natural veneers, New Leaf sidesteps the traditionally steep pricing and sourcing obstacles by providing a wood-alternative to the market.
The veneers are produced from reproduction premium woods species and cuts and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified. It has also earned GREENGUARD Gold certification for low chemical emissions. New Leaf Performance Veneers guarantee nearly half the Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) of traditional wood veneers following the staining, lacquer and finishing processes.
The finish is ideal for cabinetry, wall paneling, doors and other applications in commercial and residential settings. Edgeband in matching texture is also available, and designers can coordinate stains with other finishes in the existing New Leaf portfolio.
