The Schlage Encode Smart WiFi Deadbolt revamps the standard deadbolt lock with several modern, smart-home conveniences.

The lock can be setup and used traditionally with keys or controlled from the Schlage Home apps. Compatibility with Ring enables secure remote access for homeowners and an overall streamlining of home security through its integration with Ring products, including the app.

Other features include the ability to manage up to 100 unique guest access codes as well as scheduling codes for specific times during the day, allowing for recurring, temporary or single-use times. Meanwhile, low energy warnings alert homeowners as to when batteries need to be replaced.

The lock allows for homeowners and integrators alike to program unique alarm warnings based on the type of disturbance detected. Histories can also be accessed by homeowners to find out when the lock has been used. And, for further control, voice control options are available through Alexa voice systems.

Schlage sets the lock’s MSRP at $250.
