A leader in sustainable LED lighting fixtures, Energy Focus, Inc. has joined forces with FirstEnergy Home and FirstEnergy Advisor to offer a slew of advanced human-centric lighting (HCL) retrofit solutions and ultraviolent (UV-C) disinfectant electronics to customers. The partnership will make available all of Energy Focus’ offerings on the FirstEnergy Home website, an ecommerce marketplace specializing in best-in-class smart home products and services. It will also offer Energy Focus’ Total Solutions through FirstEnergy Advisor, providing energy broker services and referrals to those who are interested in the services.
According to Businesswire, the inclusion of Total Solutions is a key aspect of the partnership. The new retrofit service offering features the EnFocus human-centric lighting (HCL) system, which leverages existing wiring within a structure to provide enhanced LED dimming and color-tuning controls, which makes for a more affordable and accessible HCL system. This also allows EnFocus to align interior lighting with a body’s natural circadian rhythm throughout the day to not only enhance occupant wellbeing, but also maximize energy savings. Meanwhile, partnerships with Energy Service Companies and Retrofit Contractors will further allow Energy Focus’ Total Solutions provide a full range of retrofitting services, including, lighting audits, proposal generations, financing, and managing the installation.
Other offerings on the marketplace, as mentioned, include Energy Focus’ nUVo products, a series of chemical-free, UV-C air disinfection electronics. All products in the nUVo line are designed to intercept harmful pathogens as they enter the environment, deactivating and destroying them with 99.9% effectiveness for offices and businesses. Such products range from the all-too-portable nUVo Traveler, a car-based disinfection tool equipped with rechargeable batteries, to the abUV HCL troffer dropped ceiling light fixture: a wedding of Energy Focus’ HCL systems and UV-C disinfection. More products are in development with Energy Focus at this time, too, so we can expect to see even more being added to the marketplace over time.
