The Stuga Old Town herringbone hardwood floor, is inspired by the charming shops and cafes that like the cobblestone streets of Stockholm’s historic “old town.” The stain-free, matte acrylic finish that showcases the oak’s natural beauty while bringing a touch of the old-world into the home.
Left and right planks fit together to create the herringbone floor, creating a smooth, tabletop flat, bevel-free surface. Its identical color allows for subtle transitions between the brand’s other products, such as Tivoli, Louisiana or Dala, so designers can play with patterns in certain rooms or create a herringbone inlay. However, Old Town is thinner than Stuga’s other floors, so the subfloor will need to be built up under Old Town or a transition needs to be added between them.
Like all of Stuga’s products, Old Town is crafted from wood selected from carefully managed forests to ensure the longevity and healthiness of the land and manufactured in a factory rated carbon-negative in emissions. Stuga’s floors contain none of the toxic solvents or glues found in traditional engineered floors.
