Sonnen introduces the ecoLinx, an energy storage system that is described as a “must have” for the ultimate smart home. The system works with solar, the utility grid and leading home automation to provide energy resiliency and independence through smarter energy management through calculated distribution at all hours of the day. An installable app also allows users to manage energy distribution even while they are away from the home.

For instance, in homes equipped with solar, ecoLinx can switch off the main grid and draw from cleaner energy during peak hours. The unit can also smartly distribute power to offer greater resilience during power outages with the ability to store up to 30kWh of energy at any given time.

The device also enables developers to construct virtual powerplants through a connected system of communities that not only provide resilience and independence for said communities, but also help support the local grid.

ecoLinx batteries are also made from lithium-ion batteries and are 100% recyclable.
