Bendheim introduces HexaLite, a laminated, honeycomb-reinforced lightweight glass cladding ideal for lobbies and elevator interiors. The customizable glass features optical textures that are smooth to the touch and nonporous.

HexaLite’s aluminum honeycomb backing lends strength and rigidity to any glass thickness, while minimizing the overall weight of the panel. According to Bendheim, it can add as much as 1/2” to the thickness of the panel, with just 1 lb./ft² additional weight.

Bendheim notes that the lightweight construction can also be beneficial in renovation and rehabilitation projects, where it can achieve a completely new and luxurious aesthetic without costly and disruptive structural upgrades to walls.
