The new Zeppelin (MSRP: $799) from Bowers & Wilkins is the latest and most advanced evolution of the Zeppelin line of single unit stereo systems. It features reference quality drive unit technologies arranged in dedicated left and right speaker assemblies around a central, large subwoofer, all powered by 240W of amplification. The result is room-filling stereo sound no single-box rival can match, according to the company.
Available in two finishes, midnight grey and pearl grey, the all-new and completely redesigned Zeppelin also includes switchable, dimmable ambient lighting to create a ‘halo’ effect on to its pedestal stand.
The new high-resolution streaming platform incorporated into the device allows users to access Spotify Connect, Deezer, Last.fm, Qobuz, Soundcloud, TIDAL and TuneIn, ensuring high-quality sound and convenient, easy operation.
The new Zeppelin also comes with Alexa built-in, with no need for any external components. Alternatively, the Zeppelin can also be operated by physical buttons on the top rear of its enclosure.
Bowers & Wilkins further emphasizes the long-lasting and scalable capabilities of the product by highlighting the Zeppelin’s digital “brain.” Able to be upgraded over time, the company already has plans to roll out multiroom capabilities to the device in early 2022. The update will also make it compatible with both other new Zeppelins in a multiroom environment or a multiroom system based on Bowers & Wilkins own Formation range of high-resolution wireless speakers.
