Tonal has recently announced the introduction of live streaming workouts, classes and training soon to be made available to those who own the smart home gym. The new feature, called Tonal Live, will offer real-time community classes calibrated for each user.
Using Tonal’s existing form feedback feature, coaches will be able to directly interact with participants through form correction suggestions and shout-outs to help keep people going. Members will also be able to access any live sessions that they happen to miss, with each session being added to the gym’s on-demand library after 24 hours.
This coincides with a complete redesign of Tonal’s user interface and mobile app, making it easier to discover and preview each session. The company has also designed a “social zone,” where members can interact directly with each other and see their activities and milestones.
“Tonal has always been unique in the way that we’ve approached our workout content with adaptive weights, individualized pacing, and form feedback that are customized to our members in real-time,” said Aly Orady, Tonal CEO.
“As our community has grown over the past few years, we’ve been encouraged by the organic social engagement, the craving for more interaction with our coaches, and the excitement that comes from reaching new milestones; Tonal Live will allow us to connect these elements through a studio experience while retaining the foundation of what differentiates our workouts: personalization, guidance, and feedback.”
Delivering on Recent Success
Having been in operation since 2018, the explosive growth following the heightened adoption of home fitness solutions during the pandemic in 2020, along with raising over $250 million in funding, have allowed the company to greatly invest in expanding its core content and offerings. Tonal Live is an example of one such investment, bringing a feature that has been the draw of many at-home fitness solutions to the product.
Tonal Live will be available starting on October 20th, 2021.
