There’s a considerable focus being placed on the state of the environment, not just outdoors, but indoors as well. To better inform both homeowners and the smart home systems responsible for maintaining a healthy home environment, environmental sensors and monitoring systems have become the eyes and ears for connected spaces.
With CES 2022 fast approaching, SAMEA Innovation has announced they’ll be among the many exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations in smart sensors with an all-in-one environmental sensor solution for the ever-evolving smart home ecosystem.
On January 5th, 2022, SAMEA Innovation will unveil their Sensoriis solution—currently available for distribution throughout Europe—to American markets at CES 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
A unique, cellular-based, cloud-connected monitoring device, Sensoriis incorporates an extensive array of sensors that capture 16 separate measurements that could potentially impact health and wellbeing in a given environment.
These measurements include particulate matter between .5 and 10 microns in diameter, common VOCs found within buildings, CO2, temperature, humidity, room presence, vibration, sound levels, air pressure, smoke, and lighting conditions such as color temperature and brightness.
“Safe and healthy indoor air quality has become an increasingly important issue in many companies that plan to return to work in person following the many challenges brought on by the coronavirus pandemic. Installation of precise air quality sensors that can efficiently measure and inform the air quality condition on a real-time basis can help reduce the anxiety and concerns that employees may have about commercial spaces,” says Sebastien Amiot, CEO of SAMEA Innovation, in a recent press release.
Sensoriis All-in-One Sensor Offers Simple and Expansive Connectivity
As stated by SAMEA Innovations, the Sensoriis acts as a remote control for actuators (heating, lights, openings, etc.) throughout a smart home.
Instead of requiring a Wi-Fi connection to communicate with devices, the Sensoriis instead uses cellular communications for a more secure connection. This allows the device to be used with Zigbee, Bluetooth, LoRa, NB-IoT and LTE-M networks. Additionally, the Sensoriis works without the need of a router.
The company also highlight’s the solution’s potential use as an enterprise solution. Facility managers can deploy the solution en masse throughout commercial spaces and receive customizable dashboards for both them and their occupants. The sensor also updates every five minutes for near real-time IAQ info.
Attendees to CES 2022 will be able to see the Sensoriis in action at the Eureka Park Booth #61013 in the Technology West-Hall G in the France Innovation Section.
