Orro Pushes New Update for Orro One Pro Switches
Orro, the creators of the professional-grade Orro Smart Living System, have made it so the Orro One Pro now connects with all existing Ring video doorbells.
The latest functionality update adds to a long list of integrations and features that Orro has continually added to its mainline product since its initial launch. Being able to utilize motion, sound and light sensors, the One Pro and S switches act as incredibly powerful governing modules for smart home products with their intelligent decision-making software, room-by-room touchscreen interface, voice and smart-phone-based controls.
“While Orro has worked with Ring for some time now via SmartThings automation, the feature was limited to certain models,” said Patrick Gall (PG), Orro’s head of channel development. “Our dealers said their customers love this option, but asked us to simplify the process by providing direct connections with all of Ring’s video doorbells.”
Orro One’s Ring Integration Streamlines Interactions for Customers
With this latest update, the voice and touchscreen capabilities of the Orro One Pro can connect directly with a Ring video doorbell, allowing customers to receive updates of when someone is at the front door without having to have a phone near the doorbell chime, or even be near the doorbell themselves.
“We’re always focused on how we can improve the Ring experience for a wider variety of customers, making our devices as easy to use as possible, and giving them even more peace of mind knowing their technology is working harder for them,” said Matt McGovren, head of business development for Ring.
“The ability for Orro customers to connect their switches to their Ring doorbell extends that peace of mind, so homeowners don’t have to worry about not hearing a chime or not having a phone nearby to hear their Ring app alert. Instead, the Orro One Pro switch will do all the work for them.”
Even on their own, the Orro One and S switches are powerful lighting control products, complimenting any project where other smart home systems are involved. Over time, the Orro One and S can even adapt to respond based on homeowner habits and preferences, leading to healthier, more proactive lighting in the home. This also helps homeowners reduce their energy consumption as it relates to lighting by up to 80 percent.
