Major venues continue to update their spaces for better protection against COVID-19, as well as other viral particles as many seek solace and protection following last year’s lockdowns and this year’s emerging variants. This week, as reported by PR Newswire, Maven Security Technologies announced their outfitting of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center with their Surface & Virus Reduction (SAVR) program, which includes the Synexis BioDefense System, an industry-leading technology that improves indoor air quality and features Synexis’ patented DHP technology.
Inside the SAVR Solution
In addition to improving air quality, the DHP technology also reduces surface contaminants in occupied space. This is thanks to the building-wide microbial reduction system that employs Dry Hydrogen Preoxide (DHP) to continuously fight viruses, bacteria, fungi, mold, and odors.
The Synexis technology has also received Underwriter Laboratories (UL) 2998 standard certification (Environmental Claim Validation Procedure [ECVP] for Zero Ozone Emissions from Air Cleaners) and works continuously without disruptions in normal operations or workflow. In addition, Synexis DHP technology is supported by data from six peer-reviewed studies.
“Synexis was thrilled to partner with Maven, to provide Events D.C. an additional layer of environmental safety. Cleaner air and surfaces reduces the risk of indirect contact transmission of SARS-CoV-2, which is essential for the safe reopening of businesses like Events DC and the Washington Convention Center,” said Eric Schlote, chief executive officer (CEO) at Synexis.
Leveraging Maven’s 30-plus years of creating customized security solutions for clients with the Synexis’ DHP technology, the SAVR solution is capable of reducing microbial presence in every corner of a room without disturbing individuals’ daily operations or workflows, according to Maven.
In the wake of this announcement, the Walter E. Washington Center has become the first convention center in the world to install Maven’s SAVR solution while joining a growing list of hospitals, school districts, universities, hotels, and other businesses around the country that have partnered with MAVEN.
