A tremendous up and comer in the well-tech category, Eight Sleep continues to be recognized for its innovative ‘Pod’ bed that is shaking up the mattress industry. It’s most recent accolade comes from Fast Company, having named Eight Sleep one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2022.
The World’s Most Innovative Companies provides both a snapshot and a road map for the future of innovation across the most dynamic sectors of the economy honoring businesses making the biggest impact on their industries and culture as a whole. The companies listed are those that, according to Fast Company, are “creating the future today” with some of the most inspiring accomplishments of the 21st century. While the main list recognizes 50 companies across a variety of different industries, 528 organizations total are recognized across 52 separate categories as well.
Using temperature regulation, biometric tracking and sleep coaching Eight Sleep’s Pod Pro aims to help users achieve a more restful and restorative night’s sleep. Currently, more than 200 pro athletes and 80,000 people use Eight Sleep products to optimize their sleep. Some of Eight Sleep’s athletic “ambassadors” include Olympic Gold-Medalist Red Gerard and the World’s Fittest Man 2021 CrossFit Games Winner Justin Medeiros.
“The world’s most innovative companies play an essential role in addressing the most pressing issues facing society, whether they’re fighting climate change by spurring decarbonization efforts, ameliorating the strain on supply chains, or helping us reconnect with one another over shared passions,” said Fast Company Deputy Editor David Lidsky.
In addition to securing a spot on the top 50 list, Eight Sleep also earned the second spot on the Most Innovative Wellness Companies list.
For the second year in a row, to coincide with the issue launch, Fast Company will host its Most Innovative Companies Summit on April 26–27. The virtual, multi day summit will celebrate the Most Innovative Companies in business and provide an early look at major business trends and an inside look at what it takes to innovate in 2022.
