Carrier Global Corporation, a leading provider of healthy building solutions across the globe, has announced its collaboration with Marriott International, pursuing research into innovative technologies that can improve areas from the in-room environment to construction. As part of this collaboration, Carrier will work with the Marriott Design Lab to develop advances in optimized building systems for modular construction and IoT-connected hotels for a vastly improved guest experience.
Carrier will be establishing a dedicated collaboration team based on a multiyear agreement, serving both as a dedicated force in the pursuit of innovations and commitment to finding more sustainable building practices that also contribute to the occupants therein.
“Carrier has long pioneered disruptive new technologies in collaboration with our customers and we are excited to work with Marriott as a natural step in that journey,” said Rajan Goel, Senior Vice President, Building Solutions Group, Carrier. “We will leverage Carrier’s innovation capabilities to create differentiated healthier, safer, sustainable and intelligent solutions for the hospitality industry.”
Marriott Pursues Innovations to Streamline Construction and Build Energy Efficiency
Through multiple collaborations, Marriott will be teaming up with industry leaders, alongside Carrier, to explore new products, technologies and solutions for the hospitality industry. Central in this plan is the hospitality brand’s Design Lab, a Research and Development Lab working at the leading edge of design and innovation.
Carrier being an expert in healthy indoor environments, as well as the development of digital technologies that can help create a more intelligent, customer-focused hotel experience for guests, plays a central part in this. The collaboration with Marriott will also focus on how the construction of hotels can be streamlined to reduce cost, drive energy efficiency and shorten construction times.
“We are thrilled to work with Carrier, a leading innovator in sustainable building solutions, as we look to ways to enhance the travel experience for hotel guests, owners and employees across the industry,” said Jeff Voris, Senior Vice President, Global Design Strategies, Marriott International.
