Canyon Ranch has announced the next step forward in its brand with development a comprehensive ‘ecosystem’ of wellness experiences. Originally founded as a resort-spa destination, Canyon Ranch will now be introducing several urban-based clubs and a digital app alongside a brand-new resort set in Austin Texas. Construction on the resort is expected to begin in 2023 with doors opening to guests in 2025.
“First and foremost, we exist to help people live better, longer. Expanding access to our resorts with the Austin location is just one part of a broader Canyon Ranch strategy to engage with our guests on a lifetime journey of wellbeing,” said Jeff Kuster, CEO of Canyon Ranch.
“Guests will soon be able to begin or continue their wellness experience at our new Canyon Ranch Clubs and be supported by our digital app. The Canyon Ranch ecosystem will surround you with insights, skills and the motivation needed to achieve true transformation. By meeting our guests where they are, Canyon Ranch can seamlessly support them no matter how or where they want to engage with us.”
The Austin resort will join the brand’s other properties in Tuscon, Arizona; Lenox, Massachusetts; and Woodside, California, opening the doors for more people to engage with Canyon Ranch’s own approach to wellbeing, according to the company.
Behind the New Canyon Ranch Wellbeing App
During a traditional stay at Canyon Ranch, guests begin their journey by consulting a dedicated ‘Wellness Guide’ and discussing personal wellness intentions. Based on this the guide then sets the guest up with a team of world class professionals across multiple disciplines who then become the guest’s personal team of advisors. The stay is then centered around a series of services and experiences that help promote new experiences while also maintaining the regular benefits of a retreat/spa.
With the introduction of the Canyon Ranch Club, the company aims to bring this experience closer to its members. Local facilities will give members exclusive access to wellness experts, fitness and spa facilities, an ongoing social support system, frequent coaching, progress benchmarking and more. The first Club will open in Fort Worth, Texas late 2023 followed by the Club in Houston, Texas in 2024.

The new Canyon Ranch wellbeing app, meanwhile, will bring additional wellness insights and guidance to guests, according to the company. The first release is already available to guests at the Tuscon resort in Arizona where it enables guests to manage their itinerary on property, which includes exploring available services, class, presentations and activities.
The App also lets guests schedule selections on their daily agenda as well as book dining reservations.
