The Lake Nona Wave Hotel has recently opened in the heart of the Lake Nona Community of Orlando, Florida. Having been designed as the “Living Room of Lake Nona,” Arquitectonica ensures the lifestyle hotel follows in the community’s footsteps, making a bold statement on the future of hospitality by setting it down a path paved in hi-tech amenities, yet grounded in wellbeing. Even the building’s striking façade nods to its technological focus by replicating a wavelength’s energetic form.
The entire property is drenched in color. Artworks, patterns, custom furniture and bespoke wall hangings add bursts of vibrancy, character and culture to public spaces. Outside, hotel’s sculpture garden sits within a lush, tropical enclave of nearly 300 hand-selected palm trees that pulse with color changing lights and lasers. Playful pieces of furniture invite guests to discover and gather amongst the stimulating landscape.
In total, 216 guest rooms, 16 one-bedroom suites and two penthouse suites make up the accommodations and pull from an array of technology partners. Each room is equipped with innovations like smart tinting windows, intuitive voice control and Toto’s self-cleaning smart toilets that adapt to occupant comfort and convenience. However, the Well+ech collection highlights the cutting edge of what Wave has to offer. As part of the collection five guest rooms feature a rotating showcase of the latest technology from sleep and health pioneers throughout the year, such as circadian lighting, UV sanitization and restorative smart beds.
The central location of the hotel provides expansive access to a variety of outdoor, fitness and wellness amenities. Miles of hiking trails journey along the marine landscape. The Lake Nona Performance Center features rock climbing, virtual golf, group cycling and barre classes to name a handful of the activities on offer as well as the recently debuted Chopra Mind Body Zone and Spa from wellness expert Deepak Chopra.
