Keilhauer has announced it will be adding a new feature within its award-winning, sustainable Epix collection. As of right now, the 100% recyclable PET felt model of the Epix chair is configurable with a seat pad for added comfort and usability. Sleek and subtle, the pad can be upholstered in any available Keilhauer textile and features a recycled plastic insert that can be easily installed and removed once the time comes for product disassembly and recycling.

Continuing in the Spirit of Award-Winning Sustainability and Comfort
Originally launched in April 2021, the Epix collection is Keilhauer’s first collaboration with the Swedish design studio Form Us With Love, with the pair’s mutual passion for sustainability and modern design and shared commitment to design activism informing the collection’s coherent aesthetic.
Each piece in the collection balances rational, industrial design with warmth and elegance, spreading the unified ethos across a series of seating, shelving and tables, with the goal of fulfilling every workplace need through a series of 100% recyclable, functional pieces that can provide a seamless transition across various work tasks.
Being a recipient of the prestigious Red Dot Product Award, one of the largest design competitions in the world, the PET felt model of the Epix chais is a standout piece in the collection. The chair is also currently on display in the “Design on Stage” exhibition at the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, Germany.
With a pure aluminum frame and three standard felt color options, it’s a sustainable, internationally-celebrated piece of contract furniture that in addition to making spaces more eco-friendly now makes them a little bit more comfortable.
