Four Hands, a global designer for lifestyle furnishings, brings Fiqa fabric to North American markets with the launch of its fall collection of furniture, upholstery, lighting and décor. Developed by Love Home Fabrics out of Belgium, Fiqa is a high-performance, contract-grade fabric that combines form and function into a sustainable, recyclable package.
The name Fiqa stands for ‘Fabrics, Innovative, Quality, Anywhere,’ which, true to its name, can be used on both indoor and outdoor products, offering a versatile fabric for any type of space. Fiqa is also made from fully recyclable materials and uses a water-free solution dying process for long-lasting, fade resistant, and eco-friendly color.
“Four Hands customers already know us for superb design, the finest materials, and precise craftsmanship. With this exciting exclusive partnership to launch Fiqa, we are showing our commitment to the next generation of fabric,” said Rick Lovegrove, President of Upholstery for Four Hands.
“We continue to lead the way in upholstery design while upping the ante, offering the highest levels of performance matched with sustainability. Buyers can feel totally comfortable knowing that the product is easy on the earth and our designers are inspired by the endless possibilities of this revolutionary fabric.”
Fiqa is Recyclable, Comfortable and Free of PFCs
Fiqa was introduced earlier this year at High Point Market, with standout products such as the Tavi Sofa and Elliana Swivel Chair featuring Fiqa Boucle, a soft knitted iteration of the fabric that boasts an extensive color palette for both interior and exterior environments. In addition, Fiqa fabrics come in both velvet and woven stylings.
All Fiqa products are UV-resistant, water-repellent, bleach-cleanable, pet-friendly, antifungal, and free of PFCs (per- and poly-fluorinated chemicals), which are commonly found in water-repellent coatings. Fiqa also delivers an unparalleled softness, launching with a special boucle in a curated spectrum of colors.
“An innovative product should be launched with an innovative partner and we could not imagine a better fit for Fiqa than Four Hands. Four Hands was one of our first customers in the U.S. and since day one has been one of our most effective and esteemed collaborators,” Gregory Tack, CEO at Love Home Fabrics, the manufacturer of Fiqa, which is based in Belgium.
“Always going above and beyond, our teams work in an integrated way to realize amazing trend-setting accomplishments. The Four Hands fall collection truly demonstrates the great potential of Fiqa, with upholstery fit for both indoors and outdoors and taking inspiration from all over the world.”
