Brondell, a pioneer in innovation focusing on health and personal technologies and known for its consumer-friendly products, has announced its Capella Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System recently won a 2022 Annual Kitchen & Bath Business Product Award. Named a ‘must-have,’ the product combines technology and science to create a novel reverse osmosis filter for the home.
During the judging, the panel noted compact design, innovative engineering and affordable price as three standout features for the product. Having been certified by the Water Quality Association (WQA), the product is able to remove 86 contaminants found in everyday drinking water, according to the company. This includes DEET, flame retardants, prescription drugs, PFAS—otherwise known as ‘forever chemicals—and more.
The Capella also seeks to correct one of the greatest flaws of reverse osmosis filtration, that of wasted water. Due to the intensive nature of reverse osmosis filtration, up to 20 gallons of water must be processed to produce a single gallon of clean water. However, the Capella seeks to counteract this by redirecting the ‘wastewater’ back into the system at a 1:1 ratio of ‘wastewater’ to filtered water.
The end result, Brondell notes, is safer, cleaner water for both the homeowner and for the planet as well.
