Award-winning, sustainable furniture brand Andreu World has unveiled its first showroom along the West Cost, debuting in the city of San Francisco, California. Located at 85 2nd Street in the heart of the financial district, this store marks the brand’s fifth permanent flagship showroom in the US, joining those in Chicago, New York, Washington D.C, Boston, and Kansas City.
“Andreu World is proud to be expanding our North American operations to include a west coast location in the city of San Francisco,” states Jesus Llinares, CEO of Andreu World. “This expansion establishes our company’s investment in the North American market to offer more sustainable options to consumers and cements Andreu World’s place as a global leader within the industry.”
Having become the first company in the world to have full FSC certification across all its product lines, Andreu World has also pledged to commit 100% of its products to the circular economy before 2025. Even now, all wood products and materials produced by Andreu World are fully sustainable and recyclable.
Introducing the Latest Sustainable Designs by Andreu World
Designed internally by Andreu World, the showroom spans 5,000 square feet and has been split into multiple exhibitions to showcase the versatility of many of the brand’s iconic products. These include a wide range of seating and tables, as well as a selection of versatile sofas displayed throughout several workspaces within the showroom.
The opening of the newest showroom also happens to coincide with the introduction of the brand’s most recent sustainable designs with creator Phillipe Starck. Adela Rex, for example, demonstrates sustainability through its use of slow-grown, FSC-certified wood from reforested forests that have been reforested within the chain of custody from the forest to the final product.
“In essence, the San Francisco showroom displays a passion for design, and love for details and highlights the craftsmanship and technical mastery that the brand is known for,” states the company in a press release for the opening.
“The inspiration for the interior design of the space stems from Andreu World’s use of natural wood – which is in the brand’s genes since its origins – and is seen in the space through the layout and in the new indoor and outdoor furniture collections that are presented for different uses: office, corporate, restaurants and hotels, educational, outdoor terrace areas and homes. “
